After roughly three years of planning, the first-ever camp for the North American Division of the Seventh‑day Adventist Church (NAD) Master Guide Ministry took place from August 6–9, 2025, at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. The event’s theme was “Called to Serve.” Leaders from across North America (and even a few from abroad) gathered to build skills, worship together, serve their communities and create new friendships.
Throughout the camporee, participants attended leadership training sessions, engaged in spiritual devotionals and joined hands-on service projects. The camporee also placed great emphasis on community: attendees shared worship experiences, heard keynote addresses, and communed with Master Guide groups from around the world and wrapped up the event with an international-themed parade celebrating the global fellowship.
The featured speaker was Dr. MyRon Edmonds – a pastor, life coach and leadership mentor – who addressed the group, encouraging them to serve with purpose, integrity and spiritual commitment.
Overall, this camporee renewed the connection among Master Guide leaders, boosted their abilities to serve youth and communities and reinforced their shared mission of leadership in service.
