Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry in the North American Division (NAD) is known as Momentum Youth Ministry. The word Momentum, meaning “Strength Gained Through Progress,” reflects the dynamic and intentional mission of the department to spiritually empower youth and equip leaders. Momentum Youth Ministry is structured around three core actions: Ignite, Engage, and Move, which together form a comprehensive framework for discipleship, leadership, evangelism, and service.
The typical age range for North American Division (NAD) Momentum Youth Ministry spans from 13 years old to high school seniors, targeting the crucial adolescent years where identity, faith, and purpose are being shaped and lived out in the local church.
Through Ignite, Engage, and Move, Momentum Youth Ministry aims to develop spiritually grounded, socially responsible, and mission-driven young people who are prepared to lead and serve in today’s world.
Ignite
Ignite focuses on nurturing a deep, personal relationship with God. Through Discipleship, Youth Sabbath School and Leadership Development, young people are encouraged to grow spiritually, build meaningful connections within the church, and take on active roles in ministry at the local level.
Engage
Engage emphasizes outreach and evangelism. Youth are equipped to share the message of Jesus with their peers and communities. This component also underscores holistic support, addressing the spiritual, mental, physical, and social well-being of young people.
Move
Move highlights the importance of service. Youth are called to serve both within the church and in the broader community, engaging in mission work that reflects Christ’s love through action.
